Welcome to Des Moines Obedience Training Club!

We are an AKC obedience club, offering multiple levels of dog obedience training to the public as well as other events.

Public class information
We hold most public classes on Monday & Tuesday nights or Tuesday mornings. Most classes are a 6-week course for $150. Unless noted otherwise, pre-registration is required for our classes. Please see the “Classes” menu dropdown and visit the individual class page for specifics about that class. You can view any open registrations here (no “sign up” button means no open registration). ** Please be sure to read all registration information.**

Tentative 2026 Public Class Schedule
Session 1: January 6 through February 10 (Tuesdays only)
Session 2: February 23/24 through March 30/31 – Registration opening between Monday, 2/2 and Monday, 2/9
Session 3: April 13/14 through May 18/19 – Registration opening between Monday, 3/23 and  Monday, 3/30 
Session 4: June 1/2 through July 6/7 – Registration opening between Monday, 5/11 and Monday, 5/18
Session 5: July 27/28 through August 31/Sept. 1 – Registration opening between Monday, 7/6 and Monday, 7/13
Session 6: Sept. 14/15 through October 19/20 – Registration opening between Monday, 8/24 and Monday, 8/31 
Session 7: Nov. 2/3 through December 7/8 – Registration opening between Monday, 10/12 and Monday, 10/19
